LEARNING CONSULTATIONS

Dear Parent/Carer,

We are delighted to be able to invite parents and carers back into school to discuss your child’s current learning, as experience and research shows that children make the most progress when their parents/carers show a keen interest in their achievements at school.

Due to the current pandemic, we would ask that all adults coming into school wear face masks and use the hand gel on entering and leaving the building.

Therefore, we hope to see all parents/carers on Wednesday November 17th from 4:20pm until 6:30pm (unless in Reception and 1H. A separate note will follow.) If you attend Achievement for All consultations, then you will not attend this session, as your meetings are to be arranged during the following week.

Please book your appointment times via Parent Pay from Wednesday 10th November. (Don’t worry, you do not have to pay.) For the 13 parents that have still to register on parent Pay, new registration forms were sent out to you last week.

Each child’s consultation is for 5 minutes. If there is a need to discuss matters further, then an additional appointment will need to be made with the class teacher, to prevent keeping families waiting. Where possible children should attend the learning consultation with their parents; so together, staff, children and parents are celebrating the child’s progress and identifying their next areas for improvement. Children must stay with their parents at all times.

Mr Heathershaw (SENDCo) and I will also be available for parent consultations. Please make an appointment via the Office or via the ‘contact us’ form on the website.

Please inform us if you have an emergency and cannot make the booked appointment.

We look forward to sharing the improvements your child is making on this important occasion. Any parent/carers not making an appointment WILL be persistently contacted, as an appointment MUST be kept during this term.

Yours sincerely,

Michelle Gay
