Afterschool Clubs

Category

Dear Parents/Carers,

We are now starting up our after school provision for the Autumn term. Due to Covid-19 and guidance from the DfE, we have had to change the way after school clubs run for the foreseeable future.

The DfE states that in after school clubs, children can be kept in a group with other children from the same bubble (year group) they are in during the school day. In order to ensure all children and families have the opportunity to attend a club we will therefore, offer one after school club per bubble. Each bubble will have a set day for their after school club and during the 10 weeks they will participate in a wide range of activities. The days are shown below:

Monday – Year 1
(3:30pm – 4:30pm)

Tuesday – Year 2 & 3
(3:30pm – 4:30pm)

Wednesday – Year 4
(3:30pm – 4:30pm)

Thursday – Year 5 & 6
(3:30pm – 4:30pm)

All children to be collected from the Middle gates by the main playground

After school clubs will start on Monday 28th September and finish on Thursday 10th December.

Each after school club will cost £1 per week and you must pay upfront for the term (10 weeks.)

If this causes any financial difficulties, please speak to Chris or Sharon in the office, as we do have the Pupil Premium Grant which we can use to support families on low incomes.

Each after school club will be limited to 20 places and will be first come first served (this term only.) To secure a place you must follow the following procedure and not go to the office:

  • Put the correct amount of money in an envelope (£10) for the term.

  • On the front of the envelope write ‘After school club money’ and your child’s name.

  • Your child will then need to place the envelope in their black box (in their corridor) and this will be collected by Mr. Wall

  • You will be notified by Marvellous Me if your child has secured a place.

Hopefully, next term, we will be able to plan further ahead and are hoping to receive a grant which would enable us to run more than one club per day.

Thanks,

Mr. Wall
