Arthur Terry Learning Partnership

Finally, the conversion to an academy, will take place tomorrow.

We look forward to joining the successful family of schools, with a record of school improvement and a strong local presence in neighbouring schools of Slade, Brookvale and Stockland Green. Like Osborne, ATLP are committed to putting children at the heart of everything they do so we can together, make a real difference to our school community.

Staff Changes

Unfortunately, we will be saying good bye to Mrs Taylor, who has worked for almost seven years in the school as Strategic Business Manager. She was instrumental in the development of the current school building, working tirelessly to ensure the children had the best building possible and has also kept a close eye on finances to ensure the school could purposefully spend the money, under the constraints of funding. She will be working within the finance department of ATLP and still monitoring our finances. We wish her well in her new position.

Mr Lighting, will also be leaving us after nearly 2 years as a teaching assistant in Y2. We thank him for the support he has given to children, staff and parents and wish him luck in his new position.

Good news is that Mrs Brown will be back in school from 1st April, continuing into next term.

Corner of Station and Osborne Road – Can parents please not stand together at this place. It makes it very difficult for people entering Reception, plus those trying to move around that corner whilst still social distancing.

Illegal parking – In order to keep all children safe, parents should not park on the zig zag or double yellow lines.

Free School Meal Vouchers

Vouchers will be sent out tomorrow, which are funded from the Local Authority and are for the two weeks of the Easter break.

Please let us know if providing sufficient food for your family is proving challenging, please do let us know and we will be able to provide assistance.

Y6 Working Breakfast

This will continue for the first two weeks after Easter. It would be great to see more children form 8am in the mornings, as it is improving the learning and confidence of those children attending.

It is also giving them greater independence as any make their own way to school, in preparation for starting secondary school in September.

During the Easter holidays, the prime minister is making further an announcement about the road map for lifting Covid restrictions.

We will then identify what Breakfast or After School Club provision can be offered, safely, by the school.

Parent’s Reporting of Positive Covid Cases

If your child develops covid symptoms (new cough, high temperature or loss of taste and smell) on Thursday 1st April to Saturday 3rd April, you should leave a message on the school mobile: 07833059345.

School will then need to identify close contacts (who may be infectious) and advise of the need for self-isolation.

This confirmation will be sent out via Marvellous me (where possible.)

Severn Trent Water – The Big Difference Scheme

The Big Difference Scheme is funded by Severn Trent Water, which offers significantly reduced water charges to some households on a low income.

If you are eligible for income based free school meals, it’s likely that you will qualify for the Big Difference Scheme.

You could receive up to 90% off the average Severn Trent water bill through the Big Difference Scheme.
