 After School Clubs

Unfortunately, the company we are going to use has experienced some staff absences which has left them short staffed in the last few weeks.

Therefore, they are looking to recruit new members of staff after half term.

Understandably, they and school, do not want to cancel clubs at the last minute, as both organisations pride provide themselves in giving children and parents the best service possible.

Therefore, we have agreed for the after school clubs to start on Monday 10th January 2022.

After half term, details will be sent out regarding the day, time and how to book a place for the four clubs: Scootability, Boxing for Fitness, Arts & Crafts and Construction.

Collection of Y2 – Y6 Children and Staff Cars

Thank you to those parents who stand away from staff cars when waiting in the car park.

Can I ask that ALL parents do the same, and do not wait by the smaller pedestrian gate, let their children run around cars or lean on them.

Please model respect of other people’s property to your children and wait in the ample, free space, not near to any cars.

Otherwise, we may have to take the decision to not open the car park gate, which would then cause congestion on Osborne Road.

Safeguarding children from Watching Inappropriate Material

A new series called Squid Game may have been based around children’s games but it has been certified 15 by Netflix and depicts extremely gruesome and violent scenes, self-harm and bad language. Therefore it is not suitable for children of primary school age.

Currently, it is alarming to see that some of our children are imitating the programme, on the playground. Fortunately, staff have been vigilant and stopped this immediately.

Please control what your children can watch by setting up a Netflix Kids experience profile which means that children only have access to TV shows and movies which have been carefully selected for children.

Here is the web link to Netflix NOS Parental Guide which offers advice on how to check parental settings on their Netflix devices.
